TLC for drew

on sunday we dropped drew off for a week
at trout lake camp



along with our neighbors jack and ryan
he has been looking forward to this for MONTHS!!

this is his first year on the newer side of camp
timber ridge

he is in a nice log cabin

there is a brand new dining hall
AND
there is a 'barn'
which has an ice cream shop

and has an upstairs
that is made of giant rock climbing walls

it is a great place to hang out!

i have no doubt that they will keep very busy
and have a GREAT week

 

in the meantime ...
our house is very quiet
it's only tuesday
and
i'm missing him already!

wrapping it up with the woodchucks

last week was alex's year end baseball tournament

his team had a great season
so that put them in the top tier for pool play
they played some tough teams
and
although they played well
they just couldn't pull out a win

the good thing is ...
they had fun
AND

grand slam celebrating

we spent yesterday afternoon
celebrating alex

for the 3rd year in a row
he wanted his birthday party to be at grand slam
and i didn't object

it is the perfect spot for a bunch of boys

they played laser tag
MANY TIMES

 

  

 

they did the bumper cars

mini golfed

hit balls in the batting cage

played in the arcade

and played in the ball collosseum

his friends even took the time to shower alex with balls

we had a fun afternoon
and they kept SO busy

it was a great way to celebrate

  

one last time ...
happy birthday, seven year old!

 

 

stayin' cool

last week was HOT
it was FINALLY in the 90's
and
it was the perfect week to swim

thankfully ...
friends invited us over to swim throughout the week
and the boys LOVED it!

 

 

 

 

and so did i ;)
