we day

this is another one of those

pretend it's a different date posts :)

november 12th to be exact :)

drew is a part of a group at school called we act

they are a group that works to create change locally and globally

to make our world a better place to live

so far this year they ran a food drive

and

made blankets for vulnerable adults

together they also met up with thousands of other students/educators

to come together and celebrate all that they are doing

for we day 2014

a few of the speakers they heard from were

magic johnson

nelson mendela's grandson

and

martin sheen

they also go to hear small concerts

by 

colbie callait

lennon and maisy

i was SO jealous

and

the band perry

i was wishing i could have been a chaperone ...

what a fun day

for a great cause!!

just found this gem on drew's phone ...

nfc north champions!!

a while ago

my dad/brother offered us the tickets to the packers/lions game

they were probably thinking ...

coldest game of the year ...

go for it!

WELL ...

that game ended up being the game of the season

both teams 11-4

and the nfc north title on the line

the younger boys decided it was too cold for them

so stacey, drew, and i joined big alex

and headed to lambeau

knowing the high for the day was around 20 degrees

we got VERY bundled up

we left just a LITTLE time to check out the tailgaters -

lambeau does it right!

and then went in to grab our seats

surprisingly

we were so packed in

that none of us got TOO cold

even though it snowed a bit

and our faces got a little chilly

it was much better than expected

and it turned out to be a great game!

drew even won a contest by digiorno -

when i tweeted a picture of his packer attire in for a contest

the game went back and forth

and we got a little nervous when rodgers left with an injury

BUT ...

thankfully he came back

AND THE PACKERS WON!!

nfc north champions, baby! 

DEFINITELY a fun game

and 

HOPEFULLY they've still got a few games left in them

a few games that i can watch from a warm couch

in my warm house

BUT

it took a while for us to get the picture from school

SO pretend with me ;)

in september

drew was chosen as a royal champ -

'student of the month'

by his spanish teacher

she is also his web leader

and

has had great things to say about how well he is doing in school

and what a positive role model he is

way to go, francisco!!

we are SO proud of you!

i am not sure when it happened

OR

how it happened

given that i am 5'4" and stacey is 5'6"

BUT ...

drew has passed both of us up

AND ...

he doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon

thought i'd capture the difference this christmas

so we can see the difference a year from now

christmas continued * 2014

we continued our christmas festivities

on saturday night with my dad

the biggest surprise

came when the boys got an xbox one

which they were not expecting -

they might tell you differently ... but they're lying ;)
