sugar high

alex and jack decided to dump pixy stick sugar into their gatorade tonight

because apparently gatorade isn't sweet enough on it's own?!

a win!!

ben's team got their first win tonight!!

it was a close one ...

but they pulled it out!

must've been the good luck that jack and alex brought

an extended lunch

with school ending soon

my lunch dates with stacey will be a lot less frequent 

SO ...

this afternoon i went down to meet him

while we were eating we realized that the twins were playing

and it was a beautiful day for a baseball game

we found someone to give us a deal on tickets

and

ended up right along the 1st base line for $10 a piece!

a perfect steal!

tonight drew had his last band concert ...

ever.

although he enjoys the drums -

he has decided that he doesn't want to play next year

so this is it

it was a short concert.

but they did a really nice job.

they've come a long way in 2 years!

full swing

this summer we have all 3 boys in baseball

after a few very rainy weeks

and LOTS of schedule changes

we are now in full swing baseball mode

ben is a rafter

and has had a few close games

but they have yet to pull out a win

alex is a moondog

and has 2 very chilly games

and drew is a bengal

he's only had one game so far

but he made a great catch at 3rd

AND 

he got to put his baseball AND football skills to the test

while holding off another team member ;)

nice work, boys!

summer is coming ...

we're able to spend more time outside ...

our busy end of year school schedule

paired with baseball

have us on the go -

A LOT

3 on 3 season is starting

it's perfect weather for popsicles

AND the beach

and we are starting to get REALLY excited!!

track and field 2014

today ben and alex had their track and field day

because of the construction at jefferson

they all got bussed to madison

and from my perspective everything went really smooth

it was probably the coldest track and field day ever -

but we dressed the boys warm

got some liquid warmth for us

and spent the morning cheering the boys on

individual tug of war

bean bag toss - alex missed blue by ONE point :(

1 minute jump rope - ben was just a few shy of 100

his ONLY red

ben and mr. enerson

race to the finish for the 1/3 mile

50 meter dash

the basketball shoot - 

ben's favorite event

he got 23 shots made in a minute

as soon as the individual events ended we met back at jefferson for lunch

and then finished the afternoon with some group events

mrs johnson's class won 1 and lost 1 tug of war match

and was the 2nd group to finish for the relay

mr. enerson's class was the 3rd to finish for the relay

but killed it in the tug of war by beating every other class!

ben seems to think he played a big role in that ...

it was a perfect way for them to go out - 

grand champions on their last track n field day ...
