frappucino friday!

checkin' up

today drew had his 16 yr old doctor appointment

for the first time ever ... HE drove ME to his appointment -

it's probably good i wasn't the one getting my blood pressure checked!

we have had the same doctor since drew was born

and now that drew has passed him up

i figured i should snap a picture of them together

it may not be the closest doctor to our house

but we have been so happy

AND

the fact that there is a jamba juice close by

makes it worth the trip

YOU SEE ...

nearly every day of being pregnant with drew i had a jamba juice ...

AND NOW ...

we finished his 16 yr appointment

that he drove me to

with a drink we both now love

it's probably good there isn't one anywhere near our house ;)

8th grade rocks

ben had a band concert tonight

it was just the 8th grade band and jazz band

it has been so fun to watch ben in band this year -

it is clearly something he loves

and i will be sad when it's over

nice job, ben ...

and thanks for the excuse to go to dairy queen ;)

one in a minion

drew is taking photography class this trimester

he is learning to use photoshop

and digital photo tools

he is clearly using his time wisely

one 

our very own druber

the morning that we got back from disney

drew had an appointment for his drivers license test

unfortunately that morning didn't go as well as he hoped

we're hearing that happens more often than not around here

BUT ...

the lady that gave him his test thought he seemed ready

and was sure he could've passed it if not for one turn he made

SO ...

they made an appointment for a week later

TODAY was that day

AND HE PASSED!

and as you can imagine he was pretty pumped

we have a new taxi driver

or as ben put it ...

he has his own druber

as soon as ben got home they went for a drive around the block

the beginning of many adventures i'm sure

roller skating gym class

as soon as we got back from spring break

alex's class got to jump into one of the most fun gym units

roller skating!!

a company brought in roller skates

for the kids to use

and ...

i may have used them to get around the office a few times ;)

it goes without saying ...

but the kids LOVED it!

and ...

i did too ;)

our end to the end of year parties

to end our weekend of basketball end of year parties

we went to pizza ranch with alex's team on sunday

this is the perfect spot for an end of year party

no one's house gets trashed

no one has to cook

and everyone gets what they want

alex's coach talked to them

and then presented each of them with a trophy -

earlier in the year the boys won their first tournament at centennial

and they got a red t-shirt that said centennial ...

not exactly what they were hoping for.

WELL ...

troy went out and got trophies for each of them -

what he thought they really deserved

these boys also had a great year.

alex had a lot of fun

and so did we.

the basketball season

and now the basketball end of year parties

are officially over ...

now begins the wait for the 2017-18 season.

end of year party * ben 2017

ben's team's end of year party was saturday night

we met at truchons

they had a pinata

a taco bar

and a photo slideshow

this year was SO fun

with so many great families ...

it was fun to celebrate the boys

and look back on the great season they had

true talent

HOOPS

although basketball ended before we left

the weekend we got back was FULL of basketball end of year parties

the first was the end of year party for the entire group

both boys were given their HOOPS awards

for being good students while playing basketball

they had pizza and dilly bars

and played in some contests -

alex won around the world for the 5th graders! 

it's always a fun way to end a busy season 

and this year was no different!

final steps

our plane didn't leave tampa until the afternoon

so we figured we'd head to hollywood studios one last time

 

we left enough time to grab d*luxe burger

and free birthday drinks

before heading to the airport

we had a FABULOUS vacation

the played hard

laughed hard

and

slept hard ;)

we put in a LOT of steps ...

and were even more active than 100% of blaine ...

HA!

we got to the airport and found out that the boys were all cleared for pre check

while stacey and i waited with the common folk ...

a fun last adventure

now ...

we countdown the days until we can go back
