dual purpose

it works pretty well when one location of your church meets in a high school

AND

your basketball tournament for the weekend

is being held at the same high school

church at 9

game at 10

alex was helping me make corn salsa

and

when his eyes started to water

this was his solution ...

kicking off summer

apparently the school year really wore the boys out

on our first day of summer

i walked in mid afternoon to find 2 of the 3 asleep

i decided the next day

we'd see if they could make it all day without a nap ;)

we hit the mall of america

we did some shopping

and rode some rides

we have to get all the fun in we can

before football starts up

starting next week drew has football every morning

from 7-9

yuck.

to celebrate the last day

stacey met up with alex and i for one last morning coffee date

we had our annual last day sing along with glen everhart

and we ended our day with friends at big dipper

here's to a summer

that is full of fun

and goes REALLY slow

the day we have been waiting for has FINALLY come

this morning the boys discovered that we had a visitor

a long slithering visitor

so. gross.

and the perfect reason to not do any yardwork.

yuck.

the colors around my house

are telling me that

summer is FINALLY headed this way

and it's about time.

grand ole day

grand ole days fell on a perfectly sunny day

and ben's tournament was only a mile away

so we figured we'd catch the parade before his first game

we met up with the mullens

and had a little morning fun

ben even lost a tooth

which got him a free bottle of water from toppers ;)

we got to see the bouncing team

which is my favorite part of the parade

and we got sprayed down by a firetruck to end the parade

a grand ole morning ;)
