ridin' time

with stacey being in vegas for the week for a conference

he needed to be picked up at the airport on thursday night - 

we decided we should just go back to the MOA and ride rides while we waited

it was empty -

unlike earlier in the day -

so we were able to walk on rides

and in some cases the boys were allowed to stay on and loop the rides

where we spent most of our time was the TMNT ride.

it started with drew and me

but then ben decided to try it -

after seeing that he enjoyed it

we convinced alex to try it

in all - 

we probably rode the TMNT maybe 6 times in a row? 

 

it was the perfect way to end our week alone

and a perfect way to kill time before going to the airport

MOA patrol day

today alex and i - along with the other safety patrols - got to skip school

and head to the mall of america

as their reward for being patrols this year

we spent most of the day riding rides

or waiting in line for rides ;)

not a bad way to spend a thursday!

must be my genes ... ?

drew is officially rocking high school

as a freshman - with a weighted GPA of 4.2 -

he lettered in academics

and tonight was our chance to celebrate him

my dad made the trip over for the ceremony

which worked well since it fell right in the middle

of the week stacey had a conference in las vegas ;/

great job, drew!

we are SO incredibly proud of you!

after school snack

puppy lovin

one of our previous teachers

has 10 golden retriever puppies

and brought in 4 puppies to visit us

i grabbed alex out of class

and we spent some time lovin on them

while working hard of course ;)

no ... we will NOT be bringing one home

but they sure are cute for a few minutes
