running the game ball

this week has been homecoming week

with the game tonight

the cross country team was in charge of running the game ball

from champlin park high school to blaine

 for the game

alex and i tried to catch them en route

and spotted them just before they got to BHS

once at the high school

they ran the ball out on to the field

and then joined the football team

for the national anthem

although it wasn't TOO cold

alex and i may not have stayed too long

because we were hungry and decided eating dinner

sounded better ;)

drew and ben stayed and watched blaine take a win

so ... i may have a problem

but i think alex does too :) 

today we decided before going to ben's meet

we should stop and get another jamba juice

i mean ...

we both were starting to feel cold's coming on

and this HAS to help, right?!

today's meet was in maple grove at elm creek

stacey is in town

and was able to help us cheer

even drew got to meet us to help cheer

i LOVE watching you, ben!

remember that time that i went to pick a leaf out of my new raspberries from costco

and i pulled it out

and it wasn't a leaf

but a little inchworm?

i'm STILL trying to forget it ...

secret 'appointments'

this past week has been alex's week of doctor/dentist appointments

today started with a trip to the dentist

which then led to a pre-school breakfast at chick-fil-a

THEN ...

because we had time to kill after school

before we could pick up ben

we decided to run a few errands

which might have included jamba juice

and cafe zupas ...

but shhh...

don't tell anyone else

or they're all going to be requesting dentist and dr appointments :)

drew is helping lead FCA this year

so i encouraged him to try to get a group together at BHS for see ya at the pole

it may not have been the biggest group around

but you have to start somewhere ...

it's more than last year

AND

a local youth pastor drove by and brought them donuts!

today we got a weapon

today we drove to milaca for a mega meet

the largest one day high school cross country meet in the world -

there were 137 schools represented

and these 11 were some of the 438 freshman that competed

carson's sister, maddie, was there cheering

and she made every one of the boys laugh

with her GREAT cheering

ben continues to improve

and although it was 90 degrees today

he had a great race!
