fall fun

we came home to much emptier trees

and some beautiful weather

that meant the boys were very excited

to rake up a pile of leaves

it wasn't long before the neighbors joined them

i love the relationship that our boys have built with these guys

i love that they are patient with them

enjoy just watching them play

it gives me a glimpse into what life would be like

with a few more ...

football banquet

just as basketball officially kicks off

football officially ends

tonight we had drew's football banquet

you had a great season, drew!

i had so much fun watching you.

you put so much work in

and i am proud of you for sticking with it!

tip-off

we have TWO in traveling basketball this year

and

our first practice was tonight.

souvenirs

ben wanted nothing more than a set of mickey hands

he was so excited to get them he wore them home thru the airport

alex wanted a bucket of little green aliens

and drew found a shirt that he loved -

they were out of it in his size at the time

but disney has an amazing service where you can call a #

and they will locate the shirt at one of the other parks and mail it to you -

SO FUN!

pre-check

our last stop before the airport was the 3rd street promenade in santa monica

at the quiksilver store

drew found a souvenir that he HAD to have

we joked that based on the way he looked

he was going to get completely searched at the airport - 

WELL

joke was on us

as we checked in

the delta employee told us that he had been selected for pre-check

meaning he didn't have to take off his shoes and could bypass the line.

guess someone liked his hat.

a starbucks with a view

our final trek to the airport

took us the round about way

down hollywood boulevard

we stopped at the starbucks at hollywood & highland

which gave us the perfect chance to see the hollywood sign

it also gave us a few minutes to explore the chinese theater

and a few stars along the hollywood walk of fame

did i mention that my coffee costs LESS on hollywood blvd?!

what a perfect reason to move to california!

final goodbyes

although it was raining

we walked to downtown disney

and past the parks one last time

time on vacation always goes too fast

a waffle lover paradise

after newport beach

we stopped in huntington beach and tried

one of the places a friend recommended

waffle everything

we tried the carolina bbq chicken waffle sandwich

and the smores waffle sandwich

i was wishing we weren't all so full

so that we could've tried a few more!

this will DEFINITELY be a stop we make the next time

we are anywhere near a bruxie!
