now THIS is what i'm talking about

why do i live in a place that this only happens a few times a year?!

alex and i decided to hit the MOA today.

i had a few errands to run

and we heard there were a lot of pokemon there

 so it seemed like the perfect way to beat the heat

we got jack to join us

and were off on our hunt

the place is crazy -

a ton of poke stops

and pokemon popping up everywhere

they even have a charging area

where you can lock up your phone and charge it

we stopped for a few treats along the way

and had fun with some of the ones that we caught

this one was my favorite ...

a bunch of teenagers waiting for some youtube star

the boys kept very busy

and caught quite a few new pokemon

alex decided while we were there

 to use some birthday money for a new BOLT stuffed animal

this kid has more stuffed animals than i know what to do with -

but they are the one thing he REALLY enjoys buying

SO ... a new Bolt dog it is ;)

for today's excitement

we got alex a little snack

and then took chewy to get groomed.

they did an excellent job

but we think they may have gotten confused ...

he came home with bows in his hair ;)

* i did try to leave them in until ben gets home ... but he got them out *

my easy to please date

while ben and drew are gone

alex and i are trying to keep busy

today we went with oliver to como zoo

we followed that up with their choice of lunch

as i mentioned ...

today was drop off ben at camp day

it looks like he is going to have a hot, but beautiful week!

5 again ... for 3 hours

drew has been up at trout for 4 weeks.

he wanted to stay another week

but we were nervous about him going straight from TLC to young life camp

SO our plan had been for him to take a week off

WELL ... 

that plan changed this week.

ben and alex were scheduled to go to camp next week while drew is at YL camp.

unfortunately, ben's friend that was supposed to go to TLC cancelled last week.

this left ben not knowing anyone (alex is on the other side of camp)

drew talked to his boss and he told drew that if drew worked in the dishroom

he would have a lot of freetime. 

if ben came up this week instead of next week,

drew could be there and spend that free time with ben's cabin.

this made ben very excited.

as long as he knew drew was up there, he was happy to go.

knowing that he could stay up there ANOTHER week,

drew was thrilled and more than willing to stay up there.

SO ...

today is drop off day for ben

AND see drew for 3 hours day ;)

we went to TLC early so that we could pick drew up

this is the cabin he was a LIT in this week

we got him moved into his new cabin

and then went to zorbaz for some lunch

we checked out the new cabins they are building -

the castle for girls

and treehouses for boys

we walked down by the boat docks 

where drew worked the week before

and we took in every second

before having to say goodbye again

drew ...

i am so proud of you

and absolutely LOVE that you are having a great summer at trout

but

i am also a little excited for august to get here 

so that i get to spend more than 3 hours at a time with you :)

so ... this week we all gave in and joined the pokemon craze

although i like catching them

and am having more fun just taking fun pictures of them

than anything else

it has been fun because we all do it

and it gives me a chance to get out and walk

even chewy has gotten in on the action ...

he caught a weedle

a ratatt tried to eat my chick fil a

AND

steal my coffee

and a caterpie and a venonat got in our way while on our walk 

i can see this being a lot of fun over the next few weeks ...

another reason we need drew to come home :)
