anoka tournament * ben

this weekend was the anoka ramsey tournament

ben started us off with 2 games on friday night!

they lost the first to park center

the team that they beat for the championship last weekend 

it was close but park center won it out

we won our next game against mounds view

ben drew a lot of fouls ;)

and had a great game

on saturday ben played another 2 games

they won against chaska

and ended with a win against rosemont

in a very close game

they ended the weekend as consolation champs

one tournament left before state

and these boys are on fire!

basketball week continued * BHS style

our busy basketball week continued

on thursday night

when the 8th graders

were the honorary guests at the BHS game

they got the opportunity to scrimmage 

and they even let the short guys

a.k.a. ben

do the tipoff!

hard to believe this is their last year of youth basketball

and next year they'll be high schoolers!

the barnetts take the twolves

this was the week of the timberwolves

a friend who works for the timberwolves

got us tickets to tonight's game

so i picked the boys up from school

and we headed downtown

we met up with stacey

had dinner at huberts

and then met up with our friend

he gave us a tour of the timberwolves offices

and practice area

we then went over to the game against the raptors

* i've trained them well *

along with a few of ben's friends that were there

we cheered the wolves thru a close game

AND this time

the timberwolves pulled out the win

and we're pretty sure it was because of our cool hats ;)

with the boys home alone tonight

i put drew in charge of dinner

i got a text

showing me this work of art ...

buffalo chicken and ranch roll ups

i'm thinking i need to put him in charge of dinner more often ;)

losing tooth machine

we came home from the t-wolves game

to find that alex had lost another tooth

he's getting good at this!

every year the timberwolves treat the blaine basketball board

to a night in a suite

tonight was that night

what made it even better ...

stacey got to come along!

for halftime they brought out the big balls

which seemed fitting for our group

stacey and i closed the place down ...

hoping the timberwolves could also close the deal

BUT ...

they came up a few points short

still a fun night out with the board

and my favorite guy
