bright start to the day

so yes ...

normally i get a venti coffee to start the day

BUT ... not today

the large cups weren't blue ...

and there was no way i was passing up this cute cup

so grande had to do

the fact that it was 91 degrees at the end of september

meant it was going to be a good day

no matter what size coffee i started the day with

alex may have had to get a shot today

but i know how to make him smile

for 2 weeks in a row now

stacey has been gone on wednesday nites

so my friend katelyn and i have gone roller blading

and done what we can to enjoy this GORGEOUS september weather!

can't we just get a few more months like this ...

stacey was traveling for work last week

so although he actually turned 39 last week

we celebrated him today

the best way we know how ...

as you can see he decided to shave his beard to celebrate ;)

he says he's growing it right back

so this might be the only picture you see of him with no beard for a while!

we have a big brother champion at our house ...

all 3 of the boys were playing a game on roblox tonight

that imitates big brother

of course they were in an alliance together

and alex prevailed in the end ...

too bad he didn't win $500,000 ;)

tonight ben had a meet in st francis

he got another personal best

and looked great!

making progress

progress is slowly being made on our house

the roof is done ...

the siding is in the works ...

and my favorite part just happened

NEW WINDOWS on the entire back of the house

yesterday i came home to find all of the prep work done

and today i came home to new windows!

they may not look a ton different

BUT ...

they are now double hung which means they can open up or down

AND ...

cleaning them just got a LOT easier!

now if we could just get a hail storm from the front of the house

so we can get those windows replaced ;)

maybe next year.

my school is cooler than your school

or at least the office staff is ;)
