sing!

tonight was our glimpse into the 4th and 5th grade music classes



we heard them sing

they demonstrated how they learn different composition tricks
simliar to what i learned when i went with ben's class
they created music scores on the spot
for their voices and their instruments -
it was impressive!!



we saw them take turns using the xylophones
i remember LOVING when it was my turn for the xylophone in school.
HOWEVER ... i am quite certain we were nowhere near as good ;)

AND ...
no 4th/5th grade concert would be complete without the recorders.



it's funny how an instrument that puts out such an annoying sound
can play a song that actually sounds quite good!
maybe it's knowing how much work is behind it ;)

a great concert ...
ice cream sundaes ...
the book fair ...
and lots of friends.

spring is in the air ...
and it's about time!
