keeping busy

with drew and ben at camp
my goals for the week were
to enjoy the one on one time with alex -
to take advantage of having NOTHING on the calendar -
and
to keep alex busy
all the while keeping myself busy because
i probably am missing them just as much as he is ;)

i think it's safe to say we succeeded

we had Bible study
and had a little fun with the snowcone machine



it was obviously more fun than he could handle ...

 

 we took a bike ride with stacey over to the senior PGA tournament

 

we watched LOTS of olympics

we let alex choose our dinners

we went to the zoo

 

 

and we finished up our week by spending the day with
oliver and ellie

 

we had a fun week -
i have done A LOT less laundry
a lot less cleaning
and
it has been VERY quiet!

BUT ...
it's too quiet.
this afternoon it hit me
just how much i am missing drew and ben
and
i can't wait to go pick them up tomorrow!
even if it does mean leaving at 6:30 AM!
