if you hadn't figured this out yet ...
when stacey and i visit big cities
we love taking double decker bus tours.
it is a great way to learn a lot about a city
in a limited amount of time
this was our first time taking our kids on a tour
AND THEY LOVED IT!
they got such a kick out of all of the random facts
and they enjoyed seeing all of the fun things along the way.
the highlight was the golden gate bridge
it was their first time seeing the bridge
and they got to ride over it on the bus
once we got to the other side
we switched to a trolley and got a quick tour of sausalito
our favorite part of the deal
came after dinner ...
we went on a night tour
it was a little chilly
BUT
SO WORTH IT!!
we got to go to the golden gate bridge again
and THEN ...
we got to go treasure island via the bay bridge
it was beautiful to see everything from a different perspective
we warmed up with some of the best
gas station coffee/hot chocolate ever ;)
and then made our way back across the bridge -
just in time for the bridge light show
we made our way through the rest of the city
and although we saw a lot of the same things that we saw during the day
it was a completely different tour
we had a fun day ...
and finished it up with a GREAT night
it was worth EVERY penny
