although it was our first night,
we figured mid week would be less busy for world of color
so we got fastpasses
and sat with the masses
waiting for the show
this wasn't the show that stacey and i saw a few years ago
because there is a special show for the 60th anniversary
but we knew the boys would still think it was cool
as we waited,
they provided free wifi
and played an online memory game with the wheel of fun
whoever had the best memory for each round
got the ability to control the colors on the wheel for 30 seconds
that helped pass the time which was a good thing
considering the show started on time
but came to an abrupt stop immediately following the frozen piece
dare i say 'it froze'
ah ... never mind ... let it go ;)
apparently there was a storm nearby
which never came -
that or something broke -
they didn't specify. they just ended the show :(
kinda sucks after a WHOLE lot of people
sat and waited for an hour and a half of their night ...
not really the best experience with world of color for the boys
and they didn't really have the desire to go sit through a full show another time
so we just caught bits and pieces while we were at california adventure in the nights to come.
our official review -
stacey and i liked the original world of color show MUCH better -
it was cool that they brought walt disney into the story
but, we liked the music and the flow of the old show
still beautiful
and a fun experience
but worth the hour and a half wait to get a good spot?
before this trip i would have said 100% yes.
after sitting and waiting and having it canceled ...
jury is still out.
