we were picking up our babysitter, abby, yesterday.
she hasn't seen the boys in a while so i knew she'd get a kick out of hearing alex talk. i know he can say "abby" because of the ever so cute abby cadaby on sesame street.
so i said "alex can you say abby?"
alex: "no"
me: "can you say drewby?"
alex: "no"
me: (figuring he won't ... but now it's a game so why not keep it going) "can you say elmo?"
alex: (while laughing) "no"
ben breaks in - being very serious: "alex... can you say humuhumunukunukuapua'a?"
silly ben. of course he can say it. he just won't.

Oh yes...my Caleb was SO like that! He went through a phase where he never would say anything that I asked him too!!! :-) Those one-year olds!!!
Gotta love those attitudes! And we here also LOVE abby cadabe...I almost bought her at the store the other day (for me)!!hahaha
