the many definitions of vacation

all of last week we were playing with the idea of actually taking a vacation.

with it being so last minute

we obviously weren't left with a lot of planning time.

SO ...

the beach club at disney is one of our favorite places to go ...

and we have never been there at christmastime...

but have always wanted to be ...

so ... that made our decision of where to go quick and easy :)

after deciding on what we were doing, i mentioned the idea to the boys.

i didn't tell them we were going

i simply mentioned it to see what their first reaction would be.

now ... before you read their responses ... know that my kids are VERY excited.

they LOVE disney and typically when you ask them to list their top places to travel, disney would be one of their answers.

this day... however ... was different.

DREW: "well mom there are 50 states that i need to see.

can't we go somewhere else? like ... south dakota?"

um... maybe not.

ben??

BEN: "well ... i think i would rather go to hawaii."

ok. well that's better than south dakota ..

BUT .. i think one trip to hawaii is good for this year.

alex gave me the response i was expecting :)

ALEX: "AIRPLANE?! SEE MEECKEY MOUSE?!" as he runs over to the window "OH ... HERE IT COMES! ... COMIN TO GET US! SEE MEECKEY MOUSE!"

since that time ...

drew has decided florida is warmer than SD ... and a good idea.

ben has decided that although he loves hawaii ... disney is a close 2nd.

and

alex ...

well ... he is still looking out the window waiting for the plane to come pick him up.

only 6 more days, guys!!
