fall kick off

today was our official fall kick off ;)

we started the morning with drew's first game of the season -



he is on the lions -
a team of all 4th graders -
and because i know you're curious ... they're really good ;)
they're getting to a point where they can
combine passion, knowledge, and ability
all at the same time -
so watching them is really fun!

PLUS ... it's a team full of drew's friends
from his old school
AND
his new school -
the perfect mix!

it's also the first time he and jack have ever been on a team together -
so they're lovin that.



we ended up winning the game
and
successfully getting drew's jersey on
AND off ;)
both things to be VERY proud of!

the weather was GORGEOUS
and
we had the perfect setup for heading into the afternoon -
our 2nd game of the day.
it was ben's turn to play
and our turn to cheer on the bulldogs!!

this is ben's first year of tackling ...
which means FULL PADS!

like drew, he is on a team made up of johnsville and jefferson kids
and it's perfect.
they get to see certain friends
even though they aren't in school together anymore :(
and they love that.

i LOVE little guys in all their gear ;)



for the most part, ben plays tight end -
and he takes his position very serious ... everytime ;)



he is loving this 'real football' stuff already ...

and if their team keeps playing -
and winning
like they did today ...



i have a feeling that love is just going to keep growing.

well ... ALMOST everything
the cold, snowy, windy games ... not so much ;)
