a new start

it's official ...
school year 2010-2011 has officially begun!!



the boys were up and ready early
in their finest of clothes of course
but out the door at the last minute with not a second to spare!

it was their first day at a new school -
and i'm pretty sure i had more reservations going into it than they did!

they are going into it with lots of familiar faces
and good friends

they each even have one of their best friends
right in class with them!!



the official report is:
they both LOVE their teachers!

AND

both teachers seem to be GREAT fits!!

drew's teacher is a chicago bears fan
so drew can't wait to torment him with vikings AND packers gear.

ben's teacher loves sports
AND has a shorkie of her own!

the highlights of their first day:
drew - getting to play soccer with almost all of the 4th graders at recess
ben - that he loves his teacher
AND that everyone in his class is so nice -
he said he made at least 14 friends today!

both boys came home SO excited ...
they are even more excited to go back tomorrow
and
i am REALLY excited for this coming year!

AND...
considering how i felt when we first found out about the change a year ago -
i'd say we've come a long way!

we are officially jefferson patriots
and
lovin it!
