the elf diaries

since it's been a while  ...
i thought a little update of what we've been up to ...
or rather what elfred has been up to
was in order ;)

the afternoon after the snowball fight
i carefully moved elfred and his snowballs to the table
to protect him from the large and vicious chewy


alex had a lot of fun creating his own snowball scene ...
being very careful not to touch 'fred' ...
and only after he had licked the marshmallows
and stuck them to poor elfred and the fireman was his masterpiece complete ...



the next morning we found elfred playing xbox ... 

the boys were nervous that he had beat their high scores ...
but thankfully they were all safe
i do have to say that would have been very impressive though
and perhaps elfred should work on his game and try to do that next year ;)


the next morning ...
we found elfred spending his morning with our nativity
AND
riding a camel!

i guess he must have heard it was 'hump day'
ba-dum-bum! ;)

THEN ...
on thursday he was back to his tricks.
we found him on the mantel ...

and he had left QUITE the surprise ...

the stockings were all down ...
and replaced with our underwear/boxers!!
what a trouble maker!

on friday he got a little held up ;) ...

BUT ...
was already back at this morning ...
the boys woke up to find their noses had been painted RED!!

 

they scratched a bit of it off
and wondered what was going on
but as soon as they walked into the bathroom and saw this ...

they knew.

AND THEN ...
the real surprise came when they came to tell me ...
so i went to see elfred
and found his nose had been painted too ;)
not sure which of his friends helped him with that
but ... they were even more clever than me ;)
hmmmm ...
perhaps i should enlist this 'friend's' help more often ...
