zimmerman 2014

this weekend ben played a one day tournament in zimmerman

our first game was against buffalo

the refs threw us (as in BOTH teams) for a loop

and changed the rules halfway through the game

BUT ...

the boys adjusted well

and we walked away with a win

36-17

our next game was against champlin park

the refs didn't change

which meant it was another interesting game

thankfully the boys kept playing well

and it was a great game

well ...

minus the break in action

when one of their players made a mad dash for the bathroom

- throwing up the entire way -

and the floor needed to be cleaned

although it was right in front of our bench

and our coaches pulled our boys away

the refs insisted that they stay on their bench

have i mentioned what gems they were ;)

and i couldn't help but snap a few pictures

at the time i laughed at how absurd it was

but when i got home i was actually kind of sad thinking about it

what jerks.

ANYWAY ...

the last time we played them they beat us by over 20 points

but this time we walked away with a 34-25 win

which put us in the championship game against brainerd

BUT

first we had a 4 hour break

and what does our team do when we have a break? ..

we head to pizza ranch

i have NO idea how the boys play as well as they do

after eating SO much crap

BUT

they always do fabulous!

must be the team bonding

we came back ...

played hard against brainerd

and came away with another win

26-20

our first championship of the year!

way to go 5A!
