while drew's away ...

drew spent the beginning of this week

at the st thomas football camp

while he was there

ben, alex and i decided that we should kick off our first full week of summer

with a little fun of our own

since we were already in st paul

we started our day with some treats from wuollet bakery

from there we headed to the como zoo

it was a perfect day to walk around

and watch the animals

BUT

the best part came when we saw this sign

they were kicking off the opening of the chipotle edible garden

by giving guests the opportunity to make their own guacamole

they gave each of the boys an avacado

and walked them through the steps

that they use to make their guacamole

once they finished

they gave each of them chips to go along with their guac

AND

a coupon to take to a real chipotle ...

SCORE!!

after a few hours at the zoo

we went downtown to have lunch with stacey

ben hadn't seen stacey's new office

so he got the 'official tour'

and then we went back to the zoo

in hopes of more guacamole

ok really just to spend a bit more time

before drew was ready to be picked up

the next day

we decided to drop drew off and then take it easy

well ...

until we noticed that izzy's was right around the corner from st thomas

we decided to wait until pick up

and then celebrate a fun few days

AND

try out a new ice cream shop

all in one

our official review is that although they had some interesting flavors ...

i tried swedish garden party ...
