breakfast of ('inja) champions

let it be known that alex LOVES cocoa puffs.
in the morning - we are lucky if he lasts until 7:15 before requesting a bowl
at lunch - if i ask what he would like for lunch he responds with - 'cocoa puffs' (you'd think he'd catch on that i won't give him cocoa puffs for lunch too - but - he still tries)
AND
cocoa puffs dry are his snack of choice

so ...
this morning i got up to get alex breakfast.
i told him to get his cereal and get a bowl.
he came walking out of the pantry - holding the cereal box high in the air
and declared
'COCOA PUFFS ... FOREVER!'

i seriously don't know where he gets this stuff.
BUT ...
if cocoa puffs are what make you happy, buddy,
then i hope they stay around forever too.

2 weddings and a ....

ben just told me that he informed his class today that he has TWO girlfriends.

i asked him why he has two - and not just one.

his response? ...

'it's not that big of a deal. i can just marry one on september 18th and one on september 19th.'

hmm ...
glad he has a plan ...
but perhaps now would be a good time to let him know that the girl he marries on september 18th may not wait around while he marries another a day later.

homeade love

yesterday i gave stacey a valentine that i had made.

SO ...
not to be outdone ...
he gives me this valentine (edited of course) that he had made with random craft supplies from around the house
(complete with bazzil bling paper ;)...)
the valentine even had paper folded to make the white section 'pop out' :)



i was quite impressed
AND
i am now questioning why i am the only one scrapbooking for this family.

next year ...

math night

tonight was 'math night' at the boys' school.

we walked around to many of the classrooms
and played a bunch of -
you guessed it -
math games!

both drew and ben LOVE math
(which makes sense ... they are my kids and i have always loved numbers)
so this was TOTALLY up their alley.

even alex got into it -
although whatever game he was playing was definitely only understood by him :)
all i know is it involved lots of shaking dice and pennies.
a future gambler, perhaps?

we ended the night with 2 very intense games of BINGO



no bingos ...

but ...
i walked away knowing we need to find ourselves a bingo game with cool sliding marker cards like these!

next game night - our house for bingo!

too much in shock that the judges on american idol just put tatiana through to the top 32 -

'inja alex

tonight before bed,
'inja alex showed us a few of his moves.
he even fought off the naked ninja

i was going to put just one picture on 365 -
but then realized that there was just no way i could limit it to one :)
SO ... have fun envisioning bedtime at our house tonight :)
AND ... if you ever need a ninja -
you can borrow him - ANYTIME!

frustrated

today i am a little frustrated ...

frustrated that i got a $700 doctor bill in the mail ...

on the day that i probably would have delivered our baby.

frustrated that doctor bills even get sent out 5 MONTHS LATER!

frustrated that i was sick for 4 months and all 5 of us sacrificied ...

only to be left with nearly $4000 in medical bills

and 5 lbs which just don't want to leave my body :)

a few people have asked how i'm doing -

knowing we would've had the baby right about now -

in all honesty ... i am doing REALLY well.

i couldn't be happier with our life with 3 boys.

as i look at it right now i can honestly say that i have been enjoying where i am at and am glad i am not 9 months pregnant.

we have been having a lot of fun

and life has finally slowed down a bit.

things happen for a reason and i truly believe that.

it's figuring out the reason why they wait 5 months to send a $700 bill - that's got me stumped!

it's friday night ...
and stacey went to a wild game with work ...

SO ...
that left us to find some fun on our own.

we stocked up on the 'important things' ...
and got busy.



we had our FAVORITE pizza.
we made smore parfaits as a special 'space buddies snack'
and then got comfy to watch our movie.

as with all of the other 'buddies' movies -
the boys loved it.

and i thought it was pretty cute too!

if i could get a dog -
have it be that cute -
stay that cute -
AND if i could eliminate the trouble they get into on EVERY movie ...
i'd get a dog in a heartbeat :)
HA!

7 yr old boy love notes

now ... i'd like to start by saying ...
i LOVE LOVE LOVE that i have 3 boys.
i wouldn't have it any other way.
if we were to have a #4 ... another boy would be my preference.

NOW ... my story ...

the other day drew told me he had a picture for me.
i thought ... oh sweet!
i thought about how it could be a note about how much he loves me.
or a note saying he realizes i do WAY more laundry than should be expected of any human being ;)
or a picture showing he and i walking together on a beach in hawaii ...

i was WAY off.

i got a very detailed picture of a farting and burping contest.
HA!



now don't get me wrong ...
i still saved the picture :)
and any picture he brings home to me makes me smile :)

but ...
for one short second i thought about what my life would be like if i had girls.

those 7 yr old boys ...
they are something else.
