don't let this cute face fool you. he is a troublemaker in disguise!
to know stacey and i is to know that we like to eat out.
a lot.
well ... after tonight i have decided that our days of eating out have officially ended (hopefully temporarily).
BACKGROUND: alex wants nothing to do with food. in fact i can quickly name the few things that he will eat -
1. grapes
2. blueberries
3. strawberries
4. supertarget's frosted sugar cookies - free bakery bribery :) have i mentioned he's a 3rd child :)
5. chipotle veggie burritos (obviously not the whole thing ... but all of the contents)
when these favorite items are placed in front of him we have MAYBE 5 minutes of "alex stays busy time". BUT ... as soon as they are gone he is pounding on the table, squealing, or crying. basically doing anything he can to make himself known to the ENTIRE restaurant.
when drew and ben were little we never really ran into problems eating out. they could always be kept busy with a pack of fruit snacks or bits and pieces of what we were eating.
BUT ... once again we are dealing with alex. once again he has found a way to be different and keep us on our toes. the past few times that we have attempted to eat out one of us has had to leave! it is SO annoying!
i'm hoping this phase ends soon. however, i have a feeling that because this is alex it will be a while. i have a feeling that it won't be long before the restaurants that offer curbside pickup will know our names, faces, and our orders :)
we love you little alex ... but please understand ... cooking is seriously over rated :)

Maybe I'll have to take over your mystery shops! ;-)
what a boy! :-) hope it doesn't last long either - that'd be no fun..

ha ha, and that is why for the last few years we've avoided eating out :) it's just not fun!
my favorite part is that since we only have 5 minutes before they turn crazy, we have to inhale our food. then that becomes a habit. so when we actually get out w/o any kids, it's hard to just slow down and eat.
