from three to none

alex's big day FINALLY came today!

he got to start preschool

AND
he was SO excited!

he grabbed his new backpack ...

requested to have his hair 'spiked' so he looked cool ...

picked out exactly what he wanted in his lunch ...
although in the end i'm guessing the cookies were all he was excited about

put on his sketchers ...
because they make him fast

and talked to me all the way to school about how excited he was.

when we got there he couldn't get inside fast enough.

he said good morning to his teacher, mrs. guenther ...

and walked right in.

knowing that he was excited
and had no reservations
made it a much easier goodbye.

what made it tougher?

knowing that i went from three kids to none in 15 minutes flat

AND
that it's going to be that way from here on out!

you boys are growing up way too fast ...
seriously.

slow down.

I thought the same thing Elizabeth said about the backpack! HA! Good one. I cannot believe you are an empty-nester in the earliest sense of the word!
