animal kingdom

of the 4 parks
animal kingdom is typically where we spend the least amount of time
this is the one park that we always get up and hit as it opens
and are usually done with everything just after lunch

this year was no different
we got there first thing in the morning



and got right on the kilimanjaro safari
twice

 

the animals were all fairly active

the baby elephants even came out to see us!!

 

 

 

one thing i loved about this trip
is that the boys were into taking pictures of their own
i should almost make that a post of it's own

the boys rode dinosaur
we had the best pretzel EVER

saw some crazy ugly REAL spiders
in cages THANK GOD
and made a stop at the tough to be a bug 4D show

the most anticipated ride for the boys was expedition everest

 

if you've never been on expedition everest
it starts out as a normal roller coaster
BUT at one point you get to the peak and it looks as though the track ends
and that's where the REAL fun starts -
the roller coaster goes backwards!

ben and alex have never been on it
so it was a new experience for both
and both ended up loving it

one of our final stops was our favorite stop at animal kingdom
the festival of the lion king

it is a FABULOUS show
with live singing, crowd interaction, tumbling, and dancing
it is not to be missed!
we LOVE it!

we ended our day at animal kingdom with kali river rapids

probably not the smartest idea as we got pretty wet

BUT

it was 80 degrees out

so we survived ;)

 

we got on all of the rides we wanted

we saw our favorite show

we tried a new ride

and

we had the best snack i have ever had at disney

twice.

i'd say that's a successful morning.
