getaway

this weekend i went up north for a little moms getaway


we stayed at a cabin in alexandria
that is part of a resort called westridge shores.

they have a pottery studio
where you can paint your own pottery

so that is how we spent our friday night
this is my attempt at a special plate for our family to use
for birthdays, special dates, etc

we spent saturday morning chilling out in our cabin
and out on the lake ...

nothing like a little ice fishing in april, right?!

ok ...
so maybe it was just the perfect photo op
AND
we really didn't ice fish
BUT
we did take a little time to enjoy the sunshine

and the TWO AND A HALF FEET of ice
that is still covering the lake!!

so much for fishing opener this year!

we spent the rest of the day saturday shopping
and chatting over zorbaz pizza
YUM!
and finished up the weekend with a relaxed sunday morning in the cabin
before heading home.
