this week was drew's first football game - EVER.
(he is wearing the navy jersey - 2nd from the right on the line.)
he LOVES it.
it is perfect for his body and for him.
he is a tackle - so he gets to play offense and defense - so basically all game long :)
although they are still figuring out how to tackle -
and much of their time is spent just holding the other guys shoulders and "dancing" -
it is SO fun to watch!
GO PATRIOTS!
(but only when it comes to 2nd and 3rd grade football!)
we're looking forward to a really fun season!

What FUN!!! Caleb can't WAIT until HE can play football!! He keeps asking me when he can start!!! Good Luck, Drew!! I bet that you will do awesome!
we went to our friend's son's game - 6th grade. it was fun to watch, what little i was able to watch when i wasn't chasing gerrit! he didn't play much but loves it too. he's so proud to put that uniform on. its fun to watch and support. they do a bit more than 'dance' when they tackle but still have a ways to go!
Way to go Drew!!! We would love to come watch you play some time. Let us know what your schedule is.
