BOO!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!



today was a really fun day for all of us!
i started out the day in drew's classroom.
then ...
in the afternoon i got to help with ben's class party.
it was fun to be able to put faces to names -
and to watch the fun that they were having!

after ending the school fun ...
it was time to head out and get some goodies!!

we went over to our soon to be new neighborhood for trick or treating ...
and what fun we had!!!

** alex got the hang of it after the 3rd house or so. from that point on he just kept saying "OK NEXT HOUSE .." he got the "trick or treat" down quickly and stayed strong for quite a while.
it was when he started responding to candy with "your welcome" instead of "thank you" that we knew he was wearing out.

**there were a few houses that had gone all out and were actually pretty scary!
one house had a bunch of people that were out front in costume scaring people
a few of the guys had big bush sheers ... knives ... etc!
it was REALLY a cool set up!!

** at one house we had a lady ask us (and each other person behind us) if we had any peanut allergies in the family.
as always drew didn't just answer with a 'no' ...
he let her know that they could have any food - AND that ben has a pollen allergy :)

**another house we came to wasn't just giving candy to the kids ...

they were giving out treats to the adults!!
baileys and hot cocoa.
now THAT is a treat.
i have made a mental note and that is a house we will be hitting up next year!!

all in all - we had a blast!
the boys got WAY too much candy -
and many of them were even the full size pieces ...

as if they needed more!!!
