halloween - kindergarten style

on thursday we celebrated halloween with alex's class

he decided that he wanted to be a football player
and was a hit!



we started the morning out going on a parade throughout the school

we paraded through every classroom
and alex was in heaven!

there are so many older kids that know him
because of drew and ben
that as he walked through everyone was yelling 'ALEX!'
and wanting to high five him.

in true alex fashion ...
he walked up ...
high fived them ...
gave them a nod ...
and then kept walking.

thanks to drew, ben, and their friends ...
alex thinks he is the coolest kindergartener around.
he loves the attention he gets from them
and knowing that they could think he was the annoying little brother -
i love it too.once we made it back to the classroom
we played some games and did some crafts.

i ended up in charge of the donut on a string station
WHICH also meant i got nominated to put vampire teeth in
and demonstrate ...

let me just say ...
it is NOT as easy as it looks!

but it is a very fun game!

we also got to make a very cute pumpkin out of a toilet paper roll

and alex got to be the ghost ...



while the girls tried to figure out which boy was 'missing'

for just a few hours we had a lot of fun ...
got nice and sugared up ...
and ready to REALLY celebrate halloween!
