last night was drew's first band concert
considering this is their first year with instruments
other than recorders
i was actually really impressed
drew plays percussion.
this means that he didn't just play one instrument
but that he played a different instrument for each song

he did fabulous!!
on top of that ...
he looked fabulous
and it had nothing to do with me ;)
before we left he came down with one of stacey's ties
and told me he wanted to wear it
perfect
EXCEPT
stacey was not home -
he planned to meet us there just as it started
AND
yes ... i have no idea how to tie a tie.
not really wanting to go online and learn
we grabbed the tie and left figuring we'd bump into someone that did!
after stopping 2 of my friends who also have 3 boys
and ALSO don't know how to tie a tie
i decided that with 9 boys between us it's about time one of us learned
and then decided to wait for stacey.
THANKFULLY ...
while we waited
ben's basketball coach graciously offered to help
and we sent drew off looking handsome as ever
a lot of work ...
but he WANTED to dress up and wear a tie
not gonna let that opportunity go ;)
it was a fun night
and we followed it up with the perfect treat -
blizzards and cheese curds
YUM!
