reason to celebrate

ever since my sister posted about owen's 1st birthday party
i have been wanting cake

the new golden birthday cake oreos have SLIGHTLY hit the spot
YUMMMM

but i have still been REALLY wanting cupcakes

SO ...
on saturday we decided that the groundhog not seeing his shadow
YEAH punxsutawney philand an early spring
seemed like the PERFECT reason to celebrate

it didn't take much convincing
to find an assistant chef
and within the hour
we had a batch of cupcakes whipped up
and had moved on to the taste testing!
we even hid a golden birthday cake oreo inside to make it that much sweeter!
