physics with drew

today was a perfect day for the boys to be outside

by this afternoon we had gotten 5 or 6 inches of fresh snow
and the temperature was perfect for sledding

the boys built a jump
and as always -
drew took it to the next level

he decided that he should hold a large chunk of snow
to 'give him more mass'
therefore increasing his speed

however...
he also decided that taking that extra mass with him
over the jump
would not help him in achieving maximum height
SO ...
just before reaching the jump
he needed to throw the chunk of snow
to lighten his load

well ...
alex of course thought that was a fabulous idea
and followed right in drew's path

also dumping the snow just before the jump

don't know that it worked THAT well
but
as far as i'm concerned ...
they're keeping busy
they're thinking outside the box
and
they're getting along

mission accomplished.
