each morning
starting on our very first day
i would receive a picture text from my dad around 6-6:15
letting me know he was awake
he had a table at starbucks
and an open chair waiting for me
with a 5 hour time shift
i stayed in a pattern of waking up early
and enjoyed the first hour of my day
sitting at starbucks with my dad
watching the moon disappear
and waiting while the sun came up behind us
slowly lighting up lanai
being the early bird that he is -
drew joined us a few mornings
and stacey tried to crash the party a few times
but most mornings it was a little too early for him, i think ;)
not having to drive to starbucks
and being able to enjoy my coffee while sitting next to the ocean
with some of my favorite people
is one of my favorite things about being in hawaii
and based on the text that i received the day after we left
i'm guessing i'm not the only one that enjoys it ...
