our saturday morning started early
we woke up and drove to kihei
my dad was running the run for the whales 10K
and we were his cheer team
it was a beautiful morning
even the locals -
some drunk and swinging machetes -
were out cheering
he did a great job
especially considering that the 2nd half of the race was on the beach!
we witnessed some sugar cane burning while we waited
and then found our way to the finish
first place in his age group
nice work, dad!
