it's that time of year ...
the boys are officially at camp
and we are off on our own getaway
* really i'm MUCH more excited than my bitmoji shows *
we had a VERY early flight
BUT ... we are officially now TSA precheck so it was quick to get to our gate
(the best $85 ever spent ... why we didn't do it sooner is beyond me)
we were at our hotel by noon!
it was AMAZING!
our room wasn't ready
but we checked our bags in
and decided to head over to epcot for a while
my first snack off 'my list of things to try' this trip ...
epcot is where we ended up spending a lot of time this trip
it wasn't very busy
it was a 10 minute walk from our resort
and there were just a lot of fun things to explore there
we had lunch
grabbed a second starbucks
and then stopped back to check out our room
before heading out for the night
lucky for us
the pandora extra magic hours were still going on
although not as late into the night as they were for our june trip
so we ended the night at animal kingdom
we had dinner at pizzafari
and their garlic rolls are one of my new favorite things at animal kingdom
it was dark - so the pictures do it no justice - but it was really good
the details in the restaurant are amazing
we spent the night walking around animal kingdom
and although we didn't go to rivers of light
we stopped at the bar outside of it
and stacey got what was his favorite beer of the trip -
elephant's foot IPA
we watched the monkeys for a while -
and we are pretty sure they had climbed to the highest point
so they could watch the rivers of light show
for our first day ...
we got to see a lot and clearly we did a lot as well ...
